Purves Cottage

We loved staying at this property and would definitely stay again. The property is well looked after and contains everything you need. The hosts were lovely and made us feel welcome. Definitely made it a holiday to remember.

Nothing at all

Loved how homely the house was. Loved the fires, and supplying some fuel was great. Also the kitchen was very well equipped.

It was a cosy, rustic, charming cottage. Immaculate and clean, it had everything you needed and was super doggie friendly.

Something that was out of control of the owners. The traffic noise, we were there during harvest time and it was a constant stream of tractors. No local shop in the village which is a shame.

Beautiful cottage in a lovely, quite village. Really comfortable and well kept house, very dog friendly. Well equipped kitchen and a big garden for the dog to run round in. The hosts were really friendly and incredibly quick to answer queries. We're already looking to book again, we had a brilliant time.

Very minor problem, but there is a washing machine but no dryer - we did a lot of running while we stayed and had to get creative to get all our gear washed and dried. Beyond that- nothing! We loved it.

Good location. Spacious, lots of old character. Good facilities.

Purves cottage is perfect in every way. Stylish character, excellent facilities, comfortable light airy and warm. Close to so many interesting places on the Borders and we particularly enjoyed meals and drinks at the Allanton Inn.
