Great Lilly Cottage

Spotless, perfect for the two of us and our dog. The garden was great for the dog and for watching the bird life. The log burner was fantastic.

Slightly odd smell from the bathroom which is adjacent to the kitchen. Damp smell. Rest of the house was fine though. Oven and hob complicated to use until we’d dug out the instructions.

Facilities, comfy bed, welcome hamper and the fresh eggs 😊

Absolutely beautiful property in such a private and quiet area. We loved the layout and the log fire kept it so cosy.

There was nothing to not like! The only suggestion maybe would be a light for the top part of the garden for the doggy’s but nothing a torch won’t do :)

The welcome hamper was exceptional. It was decorated for Christmas which was lovely. It was very clean and tidy and very well equipped with everything we needed.

The place was amazing, It has a log fireburner, which was very welcome on the chilly nights. The welcome gift basket was super lovely, tasty eggs for breakfast, and we visited the chickens to give them a little feed. Highly recommend.

At first i thought it was weird the sleeping areas had no doors but noise and privacy were not an issue at all, so we loved everything.

Have stopped here before & will definitely again. Lovely property in idyllic surroundings.

The location was perfect, close to Barnstaple but a quiet countryside setting. Great woodburner, well equipped kitchen, individual touches on the decor, the welcoming basket of cider, biscuits and crisps and the fun quiz to solve with a reward.

Minor point but failed to master the shower to stop the water coming from overhead.

The directions from the host made it really easy to find. A really stylish cottage with fabulous little quirks! Loved the welcome gifts. Lovely comfy bed with snuggley bedding. WiFi was good, we had no problems streaming TV on a rainy night in. Kitchen well stocked. Our dog loved the back garden. Plenty of logs provided for the Wood Burner which we really enjoyed.

I saw some guests complained about a draft in the main bedroom, but we didn't notice it at all. The window and door have thick curtains which work really well.
