Bolton's Cottage

We had a pleasant stay here for a couple of days. It's a nice peaceful location about a mile from Oakham town centre, which in itself is a great place to visit. The hosts were pleasant and responsive and we had everything that we needed. The cottage itself was clean and spacious enough, I can't really fault it except on a personal taste level, though the addition of some soft nightlights in the bedrooms would have been helpful as it's very dark at night and you're getting up for the loo or a drink more-or-less blind.

Just personal, but the bed was too soft for me. Also, if it was my place I'd get rid of one of the sofas so that there was a bit more space for dining. Three sofas for a 4 bed property probably too much, for us anyway.

Lovely quiet location felt very safe. Very cosy, welcoming cottage. Lots of nice touches. Excellent linens. Easy walking to town.

Beautifully converted and decorated stable block with well-equipped kitchen, large comfortable lounge and a bedroom each end, each with own bathroom. Perfect for two couples. Easy parking. Well-kept, private garden area with seating. In quiet location on edge of Oakham, but easy 15 min walk into town, Attentive and friendly hosts, who are happy to help or keep out of your way.

Beautiful barn in a lovely setting. It was very comfortable and well equipped. The host was friendly and helpful.

The cottage is well laid out and decorated beautifully. It's very comfortable and has all the necessary amenities. Communication with owners was great and the location is beautiful.

Cottage was immaculate, quiet area, close to amenities. Proprietor came to introduce herself and check if everything was alright.

Nothing to dislike about the place. I drove passed it, but eventually found it.
