Minsmere Cottage

Great location. House is spacious and has a lot of charm and character. Great water pressure in the showers and warm & cozy. Good pre-check in communication with owner.

The bedframes in one of the bedrooms were poor quality with worn and loose slats underneath the mattresses. They collapsed twice as I was trying to straighten the sheets, once resulting in a bruised and painful knee.

The perfect accommodation in a perfect location.

Nothing to dislike

Rising damp , cold on arrival finally heated up on day 2. Broken extractor fan downstairs bathroom. Shower cubicle too small , shower head too low and won’t stay up . Radiator hard to turn on and sharp and rusty . Hard to get a response from host unobtainable and call screened numbers. No firewood kindling or matches provided , 4 degrees when we arrived , small amount finally supplied . No instructions how to find iron , hairdryer , or heating control. Insufficient towels provided . bring your own towels and loo roll. Kitchen poorly kitted out, no baking trays , worn unhygienic frying pan, only 6 mismatched mugs , no curtains on kitchen window so overlooked . View over stored building materials .worn out rug in sitting room Back door was unlocked on arrival . Not very clean , long term grime in places .

Cute house, bigger than it looks. Good location for exploring the area.

Much bigger inside than we expected so great for family holiday. Good location for sightseeing. Very helpful hosts.

No complaints.

This is a charming property full of character features, but also extremely well equipped with all mod cons. The bedrooms were huge and the beds extremely comfortable. It has 2 bathrooms and a comfy lounge complete with games plus loads of space for our family of 5. Exceptional value too!

Not much outside space, which didn't bother us for a short stay. It's on the main road through the village so a bit of traffic noise but the secondary double glazing was very effective.
