Location was very close to where we needed to be.

It was a really lovely cottage and well suited to our needs - barring the sheets as below we would have given in an excellent rating.

After accepting the booking, the host corresponded to state that no sheets were provided for a 1 night stay. We ended up having to pay 33% more just to get sheets. Travelling from outside the UK we could not provide our own. She should not have accepted the booking for 1 night if a basic requirement like sheets were not provided. Lawn and garden needed a bit of TLC

Absolutely lovely location, within a short walk of the beach. Bathroom clean.

Lots of issues with cleanliness of the property, particularly living area and kitchen. Lots of issues brought to the attention of the owner, including dirty crockery, cutlery, ovenware, soft furnishings etc. Also, looked nothing like as clean and lovely as in the photos. Owner was apologetic, receptive and requested the Photos I’d taken of highlighted issues, which she was going to bring to the attention of her cleaning staff. I’ve not shared photos in this post out of respect for the owner.

Loved the location couldn't be much better. Just a very short walk to the beach. Good thick curtains leaving the room quite dark. Very quiet road. No noise of any type inside the property.

Had to ask as to parking location. Prior to going it wasn't easy to see where you'd park or that you can get 2 cars parked with one in front of the other in the parking area at the end of the block. Pets "welcome" but with restrictions NOT showing in the property description making it far from easy to feel comfortable with our dog - not able to go on the furniture nor upstairs - obviously dogs are inquisitive and are automatically going to run around looking at everything - the sofas in any case should have throws over them as they have marks on them. We had a venue to go to in the evening and left our very small dog in the car for the duration since we couldn't leave him on his own in the property. No wifi code at the property - Mel did supply this when asked. The bathroom is downstairs which obviously isn't ideal. We didn't like the look of the wet-room arrangement with the shower so none of us used it. The bedroom doors have ball type closers and string to pull open. When the bedroom doors are closed and you need to go downstairs to use the toilet there's noise from the ball operation so you can't be entirely quiet. The back garden couldn't be used as a run around by our dog as it's open across the back of neighbouring properties. The boiler wasn't working meaning neither the radiators nor the hot water were being heated. Prior to arrival we asked about towels but none were to be provided - after checking our booking we'd already been charged a fee for towels which Mel said would be refunded. The property is described as semi-detached but it is in the middle of a terrace.
