Coombe Edge Cottage

Almost everything. We loved the location, general feel and look of the cottage. The property was very secure and in a lovely peaceful area. The little touches like the milk, emergency pack and facilities within the cottage were excellent and very well thought through.

The bed. The bedroom itself was small but perfectly formed. The bedding, pillows and duvet were all lovely but the mattress was really quite overdue a replacement. It left us both quite uncomfortable when we got up in the morning. The bathroom is great with a lovely shower and lots of little extra touches but the shower did not drain away properly and we therefore had to turn the shower off 2 or 3 times during our showers to stop it flowing out of the wet room into the hallway.

Location is good for exploring the south of Devon. The cottage itself is compact but perfect for me and my dog, a couple or small family. The bedroom is lovely and the bed is very comfy. Kitchen has everything you need. The garden would be great in the summer and enclosed so dog friendly. The hosts were perfect, there when I needed them but left alone to do my own thing at all other times.

My only concern is the main road that the village is on (which the property is not, you can NOT hear the road). It just makes it a little difficult to walk anywhere.

We liked everything about this lovely cozy cottage, so much thought has gone into making it a very comfortable holiday home, we had milk & biscuits waiting for us on our arrival.we will definately be back.

We liked Everything

Easy to find, okay for average size family vehicles as it's down a narrow lane. Gated house and garden. Keys were in door just before arrival. Home is like "home from home", whatever you needed it was there and well stocked. Welcome milk, tea etc.

Really lovely, quiet, private, perfect for our needs for one night, thank you!
