Coombe Edge Cottage

Perfect location for Lyme Regis (mackerel fishing) and Charmouth (fossil hunting). Beautiful cottage with all the comforts of home, Keren has thought of everything! Fantastically well equipped kitchen, pristine, comfortable beds, spotlessly clean throughout. Loads of games to keep us entertained long past a ten year old’s bed time! A joy to come back to after long days on the beach. We can’t wait to return <3

Nothing, it was perfect.

Really comfortable and well equipped cottage with everything we needed. Brilliant for kids as there were loads of books and games that kept our 5 year old entertained. Hosts were really friendly and responsive. Beautiful quiet location with lovely outdoor space and handy location for onward travel.

Very good location. Very lovely hosts (Keren with her sweet dogs). Apartment has everything you need. Kitchen is fully equipped. Great location for nearby excursions.

Main bedroom and wet room

Downstairs bedroom is incredibly small; booked this for two adults and two teenagers. It just wasn’t big enough. Update 08.07.2024 I’d like to address some of your comments, which are potentially libelous and factually incorrect. “We have plenty of teenagers and adults staying in the small bedroom with its full-sized bunkbeds with no issues” – This is incorrect, room is far too small and bunk beds quite unstable. You have several other comments over the past year from other visitors that state the room is too small but you did not attack them in the unprofessional way you have done so with me. “I like to pop over and greet our guests but you wouldn’t even open the door to me and seemed to be very put out that I was unable to let you check in several hours early.” We didn’t hear you knock. Regarding the check in; it was a polite request and I am happy to share the conversation thread to prove so. Nothing in our exchange was rude. “You also failed to pay for your 2 dogs - the only guest to ever take abuse our trust and we will be pursuing this through Booking.com.” Please do so; again this a lie and I am happy to share evidence to that affect. Our dog stayed one night but had to stay with relatives for the rest of the 4 days as you had relatives visit who banged around and upset our dog until 4am in the morning. Also we had to contact you to ask, again politely, for you to pick up after your dog as several piles of dog faeces (too large for our miniature dachshund) were left for us to pick up. This is not acceptable for a paying guest; especially as you had made it clear in your documentation that guests are meant to rightly do this for their dogs. There was no abuse of your trust as our dog didn’t stay. I’m surprised that you think we would ever dain to visit your property again; the conditions are not fit for purpose. Again this is a sentiment expressed by others but you did not give an unprovoked and unnecessary attack, completely unprofessional.
