Thatched Cottage, beautiful village near the sea

Lovely cosy cottage, feels very welcoming, good facilities in the kitchen, has WiFi which is good as otherwise no phone signal. Very comfortable beds. Pretty back garden with outside seating, we didn’t use it as a bit chilly in March but great for summer. Wood burner. Thank you for all the little notes on how to use things. Easy parking in the street right outside front door. Great walks, good farm shop very close by.

Stairs are quite steep, although this wasn’t a problem for us it might be for some.

Clean comfortable and well equipped

Lots of things: Location was wonderful. Bed was extremely comfortable. Loved the wood burner. Underfloor heating in the bathroom was great. Kitchen was well equipped. Lots of clear information left in each room. Communication with hosts was easy and positive. Check in was smooth.

Kitchen was freezing. It was the end of January and the night storage heater had been turned off at the wall, so we had to wait until the next day for any heat to come through. The heater was also locked on its minimum setting so the room never warmed up and was unusable for meals. The underfloor heating in the bathroom and hallway (lovely, with a fully-functioning thermostat) sadly did not extend to the kitchen (there was a second thermostat, possibly for the kitchen, but it wasn't working). I'm afraid being cold wasn't what we expected.
