Location was perfect. Beautiful cosy cottage with a lovely homely feeling

Quiet location but with good roads into the surrounding area. Very cosy accommodation with good quality kitchen. Nice secure garden, ideal for our dog to explore. Overall, met our needs for our stay of one week. HAPPY TO RECOMMEND.

Two of us spent a night here while walking the SW Coast Path: just a mile from the Path but well worth the slight deviation. Traditional terrace cottage but with all mod cons. Plenty of space - including a lovely garden where we enjoyed the late afternoon sun. We cooked dinner but the pub 150 yards down the road does good food (and probably breakfasts as they have rooms). Owners’ communications were prompt and informative and very helpful.

The cottage is cute and is in the heart of the village. The hosts are lovely and the house is very user friendly - the instructions for everything are clear. The shower water pressure is great and the bed I used was soft and cozy. I felt like the hosts really cared.

The house had a strong smell of the previous occupier - I wanted to throw open all the doors and windows and light a scented candle - or three. This detracted from my ability to enjoy the house - the bedlinen also had a strong smell of another occupier. I also didn't want to use the heating as I was given instructions to use the wood burner, but I wasn't confident of using a fire in someone else's house. I also understood I had to turn it down before going to bed, and didn't know how this worked. These two issues took away from my overall experience.

only failed on two counts--no kitchen foil to wrap sandwiches and can opener faulty so had to buy new one, but this really was not an inconvenience.
