Foxwood Lodge Private Hot Tub Getaway

Fantastic location, very private but near amenities. Lodge was spacious and well equipped. Easy to contact the owners and replied promptly.

Needed sprucing up in some areas. Missing toilet roll holder, wonky toilet seat, blind in main bathroom totally unusable and seal on shower screen needed totally replacing. I'm not criticising the place and would definitely stay there again, but it's the little things that matter and make a place either fantastic or just good. The outside area needed a good deep clean, spider webs everywhere and outside vent blocked with vegetation. The hot tub was brilliant, and we used it every night. I've stayed on this site last year but on the Felmoor park side. Highly recommend and will be returning.

The decking area was very dirty, hot tub full of leaves and small buds , seat cushion missing from sofa outdoor, decking itself wasn't level and had a trip hazard on it, no sun loungers, big trees cover property covering sun. Inside broken glass behind sofa, cobwebs everywhere inside and outside. No staff keeping ontop of hedges , grass, trees, was like marsh land

We had a really enjoyable stay at Foxwood Lodge. The lodge itself is nicely located in a peaceful area, which made it a great place to relax and unwind. One of the highlights for us was definitely the hot tub – a lovely feature that added to the overall experience.

That said, there are a few areas that could be improved to take the lodge from good to excellent. The outside decking and seating area would benefit from a thorough clean, and the cushions on the seats and swing were quite worn, mismatched, and in need of updating. It would also be helpful to have the option to turn the hot tub on and off. As it runs continuously, it was quite noisy in the main bedroom, and we found we couldn’t open the window comfortably because of this. Lastly, a simple addition like a clothes horse or outdoor line for drying clothes would make a big difference, especially for longer stays. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely consider returning, particularly if these small improvements were addressed.

Comfortable and clean no complaints

Nothing but if I had to pick at something my husband broke his leg on the Sunday had surgery Monday and we were checking in on Friday and there was no option to cancel or change dates obviously not the hosts fault but we still went and had a lovely relaxing break and would definitely go back when his leg is working again 🤣

Had a lovely weekend away. Spotless Lodge. Great private location.

We enjoyed the location of the property, and it was in budget for what we wanted to pay.

On the Friday evening, we discovered that the grill in the oven was broken, hanging loose, and producing smoke. As a result, the food we had brought specifically for our first nights meal could not be cooked and had to be disposed of. I contacted the host as soon as possible on Friday to report the issue; however, we did not receive a response until the following morning, by which time all the food had already been binned. While I appreciated we had a response the next day, including the attempt to arrange a repair and the kind offer to pay for lunch (which did not go ahead) this unfortunately did not resolve the main issue. We already had plans for that day, and our primary concern was the loss of the frozen food we had brought and the inability to eat properly on our first night at the lodge. In addition to this, I reported issues with faulty light bulbs and can now note that the seal on the glass shower panel was starting to come away, which further impacted the overall condition of the property during our stay. Given these issues—particularly the fact that we were unable to prepare and eat our planned meal on the first night—I feel that the stay did not meet reasonable expectations.
