Wildwood Cottage with Hot Tub

We only stayed one night as going to a family event. The cottage was spacious and reasonably equipped. Large garden area. The nearby Ballachulish Hotel is just a 10 minute walk away and has a a very nice dog friendly restaurant.

Direction could have been better, the Booking.com name is Wildwood Cottage, but the name on the cottage and signposted Wildwood Farm. There was a large games room adjacent which was being used as a store room. It would have been nice if that was usable. There were an unusual number of locked doors on the house leading to unknown rooms. It would have been nice to understand what the rooms were and why they were locked. For example 'private family room for when used by owners’ or such, if that was the reason. There was an outside space for dining, but no sun shade, making it effectively unusable which was disappointing considering how few days there can be in Scotland to enjoy the outside without rain and wind.

Loved the whole thing. We had 4 days of lively weather which was a bonus.

Difficulty getting taxis.

The woodland surroundings, the well appointed kitchen, and oh... those firm and so very comfortable beds with ensuite bathrooms. And the powerful showers!

The wobbly dining table (screw loose?), one of the screws might be missing? Also one of the toilets in the double bedrooms bounced up and down just a little to make getting off noisy.

Fresh clean towels, good size rooms. Great access to holly tree pool. Great hot tub and staff inspection completed mid week. Fab garden.

Stools for breakfast bar too tall for using there. Table tennis room is smelly and full of odd stuff. Lovely high quality toiletries but small bottles are not eco friendly. Large refillable bottles would be better please. No access to large lounge which would have been nice - 4 doors locked off in fact. Why? A big family needs to spread out please.

Absolutely fabulous accommodation. Was great to have the whole house to ourselves and be able to wash clothes and relax. Such a cost home in a very private area.

Very spacious, clean, comfortable. Hot tub was easy to use, spacious and clean.

Bit confusing to find as the name on the property is different to the name on the website. Expensive for a short stay. Found it strange that there where locked rooms. Didn't like the fact the back doors could be unlocked from inside without a key which isn't great when you have young kids
