Die Lage war einfach spitze. Sehr ruhig und hoch gelegen, so dass man über das Tal bis hin zum Meer und einen kleinen Loch schauen konnte. Kleiner Strand in Fußnähe. Das Meer ist aber aufgrund der Steine und Felsen schlecht zugänglich. Idealer Ort, um mal richtig zu entspannen und die Hebriden zu entdecken. Haben Rehe, Adler und auch mehrmals eine Robbe gesichtet.

Einzig der Warmwasserdruck in der Dusche könnte etwas besser sein. Man muss sich dann halt einfach etwas mehr Zeit nehmen. Aber das sollte in dieser Abgeschiedenheit sowieso nicht das Thema sein. Die Heizung kann manuell auf die jeweiligen Bedürfnisse eingestellt werden. Das kann man schnell selber machen oder man lässt es sich von der netten Hausverwaltung vor Ort erklären.

Comfy, warm, well equipped, fresh eggs, walk to cliff to see seals and eagles, peace and quiet and just lovely.

Fabulous location with stunning views. Very well furnished with a well equipped kitchen.

Loved the remoteness and location on the hill overlooking the loch and out to sea. Tracy the cleaner is very local and a true Gem! She was very helpful & patient with us clueless Aussies. The owner is quick to respond and amenable to any concerns. The cottage is fully equipped with everything & more that you could need. The bed is exceptionally comfortable and if you are a Macleod, a real treat! The welcome pack is generous, varied and included delicious local eggs. It is peaceful & quiet. Lots of wildlife and sheep. The road in is in good repair. Whilst the weather was unseasonally freezing & sleeting during our week, it didn't prevent us from exploring the Isle of Harris & Lewis from Rodel to The Butt! We loved seeing the snow on the mountains. The Kinloch Historical Society & museum at Balallan was brilliant and very helpful with our genealogy enquiries.

Lovely location and homely feel. If you like the seclusion it is the best place only a 45 min drive to Stornoway for essentials with lovely scenery.

We loved the isolation and the completely equipped cottage. It was snug and relaxing and we felt we were home!

Nothing

We were self catering. The cottage was well presented - clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the neighbourhood.

The location was rather isolated and quite some distance from the main N-S highway in Lewis. This did mean that you had to do quite a bit of driving to get to other locations in the Islands.

A well equipped cottage, welcome pack provided. Scenic location, peaceful and quiet. Good internet made up for the lack of phone signal. Warm and comfortable even when the weather outside wet and windy. Comfortable beds.
