The location is breathtaking! With wild deer and seals in the bay, it is truly beautiful. The cottage has everything you could wish for, and the log fire capped it off. A lovely welcome basket waiting on arrival, with milk in the fridge too! The cottage is spotless, well kitted, and all beds were very comfortable. Hive heating as it got chillier, but the log fire did it for us. The setting is amazing, and the walk round the bay is brilliant. It's the perfect base for us.

Be prepared! It is remote, so take provisions, and the nearest "real" shop is the Tesco in Stornoway, a 45 minute drive. However we knew this and came armed! The shower pressure is poor, as stated, but we managed just fine 🙂

House was very welcoming, could smell the coal!! The scenery was amazing, friendly people on island. Cottage had everything we needed.

Nothing - loved it all

This was a perfect location for our holiday, we loved every minute of our stay. We had a lovely welcome pack when we arrived consisting of eggs, shortbread, milk, butterscotch cake and jams, the property had beautiful views, a real fire ( had enough fuel provided for two nights), very clean and nicely kept. We discovered some nice walks around the area, it was really a home from home. Tracey who up keeps 8b was very friendly and helpful. If your looking for somewhere off the beaten track and away from it all, then this would suit you.

Everything about this cottage exceeded our hopes and expectations. A beautiful, tranquil position with everything needed for a perfectly comfortable stay. We could not fault the place, and our host was incredibly kind, welcoming and thoughtful, going out of the way to bring fresh produce, as well as providing thoughtful gifts for our arrival. Thank you so much. A place of stunning views and absolute natural peace and quiet. Just what we'd dreamed of.
