The Stables at the Old Vicarage

The property is in a quiet and pretty area just around the corner from the castle, cathedral, bars and restaurants. It is well equipped for self catering , cosy and has an outdoor sitting area. The free parking space was a must and very handy.

It was easy to find, parking right outside the door. The location was perfect for our visit. Well equipped kitchen, plenty of seating and space in the living area. Everything worked, good wifi. Bed was comfortable.

It would have been useful to have a washing up bowl. More clothes hanging space and drawers would help, but steampunks always bring a huge amount of costumes so that's probably more a reflection on us than the property!

Very clean, we loved all the character of the building

We had Wi-Fi, but no smart TV and the sofas were for us just a little uncomfortable

Everything about it was just perfect

Location is perfect for visiting Lincoln's historic centre - just a few minutes walk to castle, cathedral and Steep Hill. The place is charmingly quirky and thoughtfully designed - they've really made the most of the modest space. Parking spot just outside makes life easy. Kept nice and clean with a decent standard of decor. Good, responsive communication from the owners.

Ladder to child's sleeping platform proved problematic when used during the night - I would not recommend it for young children. Lacking a few "kitchen items" that might usually be expected. Sofas are a bit worn so not the most comfortable - but ok for a couple of days of modest use.

The location. Property was small but was everything that you need. We loved it. If it were ever available again we would certainly return perhaps for a longer period.
