The Stables at the Old Vicarage

Probably the best located holiday let we have stayed in,it was spotlessly clean and had all mod cons,the owners Mike & Jane were very attentive and quick to answer our queries just perfect stay . You can even see the spires of the Cathedral from the patio… Magic!!!

Absolutely nothing

location and space were both good. decor was nice.

the most uncomfortable bed we have ever slept on! literally foam on wood. We had to drag down the mattress from the mezzanine to see if it was more comfortable to sleep on the floor. it was! unnecessary covid measures still in place which is annoying, strip the bed and take bins out yourself, which for £159 on a Tuesday night I was not prepared to do.

The view is stunning and it's a beautifully set out stay. Beautiful old decoration. I think in the summer it would be stunning and very comfortable.

It was cold. There were no spare blankets so sitting in the living room was a no go. We went to bed and used our hair dryer to warm up the bed. Stepping out of the shower was absolutely freezing. Also probably my fault but I booked it for the 2 bedroom areas for 2 people. Only the double bed was made up and no other bedding was available to set up the single bed.

Location was fabulous. Just a stones throw from the cathedral and castle. A lovely elevated position looking over the city. Lots of places within a short place to eat and drinks and a walk down the quaint Steep Hill into the city for shops and even more places to eat and drink!! The property was perfect for 2 (although it can accommodate 2 children in a mezzanine over the main bedroom) Loved the use of old memorabilia around the place Warm and cozy

Location brilliant for cathedral

Exceptional views of Lincoln and so close to the Cathedral and Castle only a two minute walk with lovely shops and restaurants. Park right next to the property, everything was very clean and so cozy and warm, bed very comfortable and excellent communication with owner. Will be staying again.

The location of the Stables is right next to the cathedral and castle. It is a lovely house very comfortable and clean. Great communication with the owner who made us feel really welcome. Would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Lincoln.
