Gatekeepers Lodge, Dyrham Park - Private & Self Contained, deluxe accommodation, 15 mins from Bath

A well equipped property with character and comfort that was spotlessly clean and in an excellent location!!

We liked the cleanliness of the lodge, how well set out it was, and the amenities available. The location was also fantastic. It felt secluded but not too far from civilisation.

Whilst the bed was very comfortable and the accommodation itself was fantastic, there was a slight sense that it wasn’t intended for longer stays indoors. The chairs at the front were pleasant enough for a short while, but they didn’t quite lend themselves to a cosy evening inside. I think the £250 deposit needs to be explicitly explained further, although it is in the extra information.

Nothing. It was absoluty perfect. Exactly what we hoped for.

The peace, the sound of the birds and horses passing the front door, and the cottage is so warm and cosy, easy to keep 10 minutes you have the house work done.

I liked everything, every time I go to this cottage I come away trying to think when can we go back, the rain fell on our last day, which I don't like usually , but the rain and the wind sounded peaceful. Maby a small toaster and tiny microwave, would help.

Thoughtfully furnished and equipped to a high standard with a file of instructions on how to use appliances and information and walks to do in the vicinity.

The sinks in the kitchenette and en-suite are a little small but they were functional and of high quality - didn’t cause us any problems.

We had an absolutely lovely time, fantastic location and extremely well equipped small little lodge with one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in.
