Gatekeepers Lodge, Dyrham Park - Private & Self Contained, deluxe accommodation, 15 mins from Bath

Once I actually found the property key collection details were very clear

It was in an ideal setting and location and was very quite. Lovely garden but unfortunately the weather was not on our side

Not really anything we didn’t like but it is small so short stays are perfect.

It was self catering but were provided with milk, cereal,jam and croissants. Also plenty of ground coffee and tea bags This was very nice, especially the croissants .

The kitchen was very fancy but not very practical. Struggled to get to grips with the touch screen hob.

Unique and compact but really well presented - lot of thought went into the design and features of this listed property. Shady patio area as well as sun trap and loungers on raised garden area at back. Quiet location and 5 minute wlk to Dyrham Park National Trust. Lovely walks nearby.

Realise the difficulty but wifi would be a bonus.

Lovely breakfast. Very comfortable bed. Everything immaculately clean.

Very difficult to get taxi to get to start of walk.

Charming cottage right on the Cotswold Way and a short walk to Dyrham Park. Thoughtfully designed to maximize the small space. So quiet that the only sound that registered was the occasional horse clip clopping by.

The lodge was perfectly petite, stylish and comfortable; with such good use of the space available. The underfloor heating was easy to use and the log burner was a bonus, as well as the complimentary pastries. The sound system was also an unexpected but excellent touch. We wanted to stay longer!

The overall cleanliness of the property could have been slightly better; as there were some cobwebs and dusty missed areas, such as windows and under the bed. There were also lots of ladybirds for some reason, which we carefully released! I adore the old front door; but perhaps a curtain could be added to protect against cold drafts.

Absolutely everything was superb. Great comms from host.superb place . Incredibly well catered for all our needs. Brilliant location. Massive recommendation.
