White Cottage Askham

A charming, quaint, very clean, comfy and cosy cottage with modern facilities. A surprise welcome with a bottle of wine and chocolates was a nice touch. 2 pubs in the village that were equally charming and served good food and drink. Easy walking distance to Lowther Castle and gardens. Ideally situated in the pretty village of Askham to explore the Lake District from.

Lovely break in quirky cottage. Really good location for pubs, lowther castle and walks. The cottage was clean and had everything you needed and host went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay

lovely traditional Cottage with everything that you need for a short stay we love the village and the two pubs nearby great food and a great location for travelling around the lakes. Would definitely want to stay again.

Lovely cottage and a lovely stay in a fabulous village. The location was brilliant and the cottage had everything that we needed. We really enjoyed the walks from the front door but also around the nearby lakes really quirky cottage and would definitely go back.

The location is a quiet nice village

Dirty showers, mould in bedroom, rusty pegs,loose toilet base, unkempt garden back and front, a bad fumey smell throughout cottage as soon as heating was on, having to ask owner to put the heating on couldn't do it yourself, dirty microwave and oven, spider webs everywhere, dirty plug holes, dirty bed linen, loose electrical light socket . I complained but heard nothing back
