"Family of 6"

6.0

Quiet location and great base to explore the nearby area. Nice bedrooms with ensuites.

For a self catering accommodation the kitchen is not equipped to cater for 6 people. There is no secure space for dogs and the fence separating the field that has livestock is easy for a small or inquisitive dog to get through.

"Relaxing week in a beautiful location, V"

8.0

Beautiful location. Loved long walks in the fields with the sheep. Spent a week there with four kids, the accommodation was spacious and comfortable.

Would have loved a mini tour of the farm.

"Ontspannen week waar je geweldig uitzicht hebt op Devon!"

8.0

Uitzicht. Ruim. Veel te doen in de buurt (met auto binnen 30-60 minuten). Goede zitplekken. Donker genoeg om sterren te kijken.

Beperkt kookgerei, geen schoonmaakmiddelen. Derde slaapkamer alleen via andere slaapkamer te bereiken. Tweepersoonsbed in tweede slaapkamer wat smal. (Queen)

"A most enjoyable 9 day stay in Devon"

9.0

Accommodation was spacious, clean, well-equipped. Very good water pressure and hot water, unusual for farm cottages.

Minor matters - 1) TV. No curtain or blinds in front of east facing patio doors / windows, so that TV screen viewing sub-optimal. Recommend replace eith larger TV wide angle if view screen, size, ideally 55-65", put on a flexible wall bracket. Replacement TV should be 'smart' currently none are. So guests should bring one or more Amazon fire-sticks which will solve 'smart' issues. 2) The cottage is in the middle of a farm, so there are at least two potentially difficult rutted unavoidable access points where a vehicle, especially small and sports cars with low underside clearance could be easily damaged. Suggest discuss with owner, so solid wood boards can be layed in advance if necessary. 3) The whole location is beautiful, however, inexperienced and nervous drivers may be stressed by the many country lanes in the whole area which are very narrow with high hedge rows. This means driving at slow speeds (under 25 mph, often less) and being prepared to reverse and show courtesy as single lanes have to cope with two way traffic including tractors, lorries and even local buses.

"Lovely, convenient location with comfortable, clean and well appointed accommodation"

8.0

We loved the location - once we had found it! Sheep and lambs to admire from the lounge and convenient to Totnes (for shopping and mainline train services) as well as other sight-seeing options, such as the NT beach, Kent Caverns, Buckfast Butterfly Farm and Buckfast Abbey, plus the South Devon Steam Railway. Our grandson even got to feed the horses (with the permission of our host, of course).

I think the directions could have been more explicit, particularly as there are several properties in the area and the name of the farm that we needed to put into Google maps was not actually given to us, so “Creber Cottage” was of no help. Had we known, we would have looked for “Foales Leigh Farm Cottages” at the outset. As it was, our lovely host answered the phone when we called to say that we were having serious difficulty and was able to point us in the right direction! Perhaps Booking.com can make this improvement for the benefit of future guests.

"Unforgettable stay in beautiful Devonshire countryside"

10.0

Creber cottage is by far the best holiday let I’ve stayed in. The cottage is huge and has everything anyone could need for a week in the countryside. The view from the master bedroom window is absolutely stunning. Best bits were: Watching the farmer collect the crop from the adjacent field and seeing the sheep come for a drink at the pond. Satnav has no idea where this place is but gets you to the general area, you enter via a gate which reads “Foales Farm and Jack’s Cottage”. No mobile signal, however WiFi is excellent.

Nothing!
