Yew Tree Cottage

Minder geschikt als je slecht ter been bent vanwege steile trap; het sanitair is boven. Hou rekening met parkeren op enige afstand van het cottage dat aan een steile weg ligt.

Cosy, quaint cottage and well equipped kitchen. Beautiful surrounding countryside, very quiet. Nice garden opposite house. Recommended pubs within a few miles were very nice and tasty food. Comfy beds. Bottle of wine was a nice gesture also.

Unfortunately the house was not very clean. Cobwebs on walls, on headboards and under beds. Due to my dust allergy I did have to take tablets everyday which only mildly helped. Could do with a deep clean. Couldn’t open windows either. Need to be a confident driver in order to access property parking spot and area.

The cottage itself is beautiful with a lovely peaceful garden. The beds were comfy. Lots of gorgeous walks close by.

The narrow lanes to get to the cottage were much longer than I had expected. I don't mind driving, but found these a little nerve wracking.

This property catered for all of our needs in terms of being in nature, close to bath, garden facilities and snuggle cozy cottage experience like those you see in movies or read of in books. Good place for both sunny and rainy weather. The owner is very friendly, helpful and responsive from start of booking, right towards the end. Provides you with all the necessary information about the stay, how to get there, how to access and has a wonderful file to familiarize you with the area and tips on what to do and where to go. The area is rich of places to explore walking or hiking but also a stones throw away by bike or car to beautiful surrounding villages and cities. Down the road in the forest is a rope swing which the whole family enjoyed.

Communication from the hosts was excellent and all information was provided before our visit. The hosts were very accommodating and we arranged an early arrival time, which was much appreciated. The property was very clean, tastefully decorated, cosy and comfortable. We had a lovely stay and really appreciated the thoughtful helpful touches provided in the kitchen. Items such as coffee, tea, sugar, dishwasher tablets, tea towel, etc were all available. The hosts clearly go to a lot of effort to make your stay enjoyable, and it really shows they take real pride in their cottage, which is reflected in the attention to detail and the overall high standard throughout.

The cottage is located within a small hamlet and is accessed via three narrow single-track lanes which can feel a little daunting at first. However we didn't encounter any other traffic during our stay, which made it much easier to navigate.
