"Very Good"

7.0

Great location as base to explore Northumberland especially the coastal areas.

Road works outside front door spoiled sea views and meant heavy machinery startedup at 8am so relaxing lazy mornings. Not the owners fault. Also could not use outdoor deck due to sand flies. Also not the owners fault. Also heating oil smell in upstairs toilet . This this is situated above the boiler room.

The lovely balcony. A great places for us and our dog to chill and watch the world go by.

No real outside space for the dog on ground level as our car was parked in the same area.

"The outlook was spoiled by roadworks, a digger parked opposite as harbour wall construction"

7.0

The kitchen, toilets and lounge were very clean and comfortable, and there was everything available in the kitchen we erequired

The bedroom furniture and duvet cover were very dated i.e. wardrobe and bedside cabinets. No plug near 1 bedside table therefore unable to use the lamp. The balcony was very private but had never been cleaned, and we had to wipe the chairs before we could use them.

"Disappointed with the lack of information from the owners and Booking .com who are promoting the pro"

We should have been informed that the sea wall was being replaced and that the construction work immediately infront of the property was taking place and had been for a month with six more to go so no chance of sitting outside. The cottage could with some renovation onthe outside and the pans certainly need replacing

"Well located in a beautiful village."

9.0

The property is located a short drive down Harbour Road where you can park off road under the annex. The key is in a locked combination box and easy to locate. We stopped at the villages shop on the way in to get supplies for breakfast and dinner. The bedroom and shower room are on the ground floor with the living room, kitchen and another loo on the first floor. Outside the living room is a wonderful balcony with lovely views of the bay. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you could need. Once all doors/windows are shut you can't hear a thing and the outside road wasn't too busy so we found it relaxing the time we spent there. The village of Beadnell is well located to explore the coast being a max of 20 miles from most of the resorts and in some case much, much less. After 25 years of visiting Northumberland we cannot believe we have never stayed here before. It is a really lovely village, all the people were friendly and it has great amenities. We had dinner at The Landing and The Craster Arms and breakfast at The Courtyard and Salt Water Cafe. Great food and good atmospheres. We also ate and would recommend at The Jolly Fisherman in Craster. Using the costal path you can walk to Low Newton and beyond in one direction and Seahouses and beyond in the other. As the walk to Newton is 6 miles and being boomers we took the short walk to Seahouses (approx 1.8 miles). You can walk this on the costal path, main road or if the tide allows across the beach. Nice views of the golf course at the end and an opportunity to take spectacular pictures of the coast. We even bought a book form the stall on the wall guy! This is one of our favourite stays on the coast ever and we will definitely return to Beadnell.

Nothing.

"Great place to stay, convenient for the beach."

9.0

It was cosy, clean and well equipped. It was well furnished and very cosy which was great when the weather wasn’t the best. Fantastic location near the beach which was great for dogs.

We knew it didn’t have a garden, but having a garden would have made this perfect.

Definitely will be back..... As soon as we opened the front door, the cleanliness and fresh smell is apparent,,, But... we found some bits that needed more cleaning. The views from the balcony are second to none. The patio doors are worn and a little difficult to operate at first but got used to them very quickly. Having an Alexa is a nice touch for playing on demand music to set the mood for relaxing while checking out the sea views. The annexe has everything you could possibly need for a short stay.

We found alot of what looked like dog hair in the living room and the door mat. The cooker hadn't been cleaned, tinfoil lining the grill tray with left over food bits... Stain on the left living room curtain hallway up.. Really not a problem though....
