Mourne Magic House-Riverside luxury in Newcastle

Great location, very peaceful and incredible view of the mournes.

It’s beautiful location, river on one side and mountains on the other. Very peaceful and quiet. House was beautifully presented and spotless. It was also nice to have some snacks on arrival left out. Toiletries and towels were also provided. Rooms a lovely size and beds so comfortable. The deck out beside the river was a lovely spot to have a drink on the outdoor furniture. We had dinner in the nearby restaurant which was walking distance on a country road and the food was terrific. Was a great base for us to explore the Mournes and Newcastle. Next time we will stay longer than one night!

Great and modern facilities

Stunning location on the outskirts of Newcastle with a brilliant view of the High Mournes. My wife and I only booked last minute (which we rarely do) and it proved to be a great decision. Very clean, cosy but super spacious. Everything that you could need was provided (including the hosts reccomending dinner at the Magerah Inn - beautiful little spot 1 minute drive away). Overall a perfect stay, highly reccomend.

Beautiful location , beautiful house, lovely decking area to sit out back overlooking river and 2 beautiful horses in field across. The house spotlessly clean and decor beautiful with lots of lovely little touches throughout, beds so comfy, everything provided - towels, toiletries, teas, coffee, small bottle of milk. Plus lovely welcome gift in kitchen for arrival. Had the pleasure of meeting one of the hosts Marty who gave us a lift into Newcastle after our taxi hadnt waited which was so kind of him to offer. Highly recommend staying at Mourne Magic and we will defo be back!

Amazing views of the Mournes, lovely spot by the river, big comfortable bed and friendly host. Kitchen well equipped, shower was good. Loved how close it was to Murlough Bay. We were grateful for directions to the secret beach, where we saw seals! And we saw the Northern Lights from the cottage.

Washing machine doesn't have drying function (although advertised as washer dryer) Ran out of some basics - washing up liquid, soap, loo roll, kitchen roll, oil Not enough towels for 1 week stay High chair wasn't cleaned properly Some things weren't very clean eg mould in the shower sealant, floor felt sticky, food drips in kitchen cupboards

House is so gorgeous with gorgeous views and cute seating area was clean and comfortable
