The perfect place for my birthday celebrations! There were 12 of us and there was plenty of space for us all to socialise and enjoy food and drinks. The pool was fabulous, very clean and perfect for a social or serious swim!

There are a lot of walkers coming literally past your window. It actually didn’t bother us at all, but it may bother some if they are not aware. We didn’t appreciate how close and how popular the walk is! The walls are quite thin if you don’t hire both cottages you may hear what’s going on next door! Again, perfect for us as we were a large group and hired both.

Loved everything about this place. It really is a gem in the peaks. Everyone in our group were highly impressed. 10/10... Location Swimming pool Space (we booked both cottages) The homemade cake! Cleaniness Walks on your doorstep 5 minute drive to Hope, and easy access to other nearby villages. We had sunday lunch at the Old Hall Hotel in Hope, it was fabulous, highly recommend also! And the The Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese Inn where we had lunch. Sophie very responsive and answered all questions. Photos are accurate to advertisement, although living areas have been swapped round but it works so much better!

Absolutely nothing!

The property is in a beautiful location with access to a lovely pool on site. The kitchen was equipped with everything you need and the hosts were quick to respond.

Cake on arrival was a lovely touch. Nice large family areas to eat and meet in.

Boiler and pipes quite noisy

The 2 cottages together were perfect for us to sleep 13 - 8 adults and 5 children. The children absolutely loved the pool - just be aware this isn’t for sole use and you have to book slots for up to 4 hours a day but this was more than adequate and if there is space you can change slots depending on the weather etc. The changes which have been made with the dining rooms and extra bathrooms upstairs I can see have made a real difference. The garden area was perfect and we had a bbq on our first night whilst the weather was lovely! Most of the family took a walk up the steep hill just next to the cottage for some fantastic views. We cooked at the cottage and found there to be enough cutlery, plates etc. Communication with Sophie was easy in the lead-up and the homemade cake was a really nice touch! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

There is sometimes an issue with getting hot water if lots of people want to shower at a similar time, so just plan for this.
