Hartland Hideaway Lodge

The lodge was really nice, clean and very well equipped. The rooms and beds were clean and comfortable. The facilities such as the kitchen and bathrooms were well equipped and there was everything that we needed.

The shower was a little tight but the water etc worked perfectly. The speed ramp on the estate. Apart from that there was nothing we didn't like.

Lovely lodge and setting, clean and well decorated, facilities functional, heating system brilliant. Also communication from owners about the oven situation

Signage to the lodge caused confusion and frustration and resulted in a call to owners Sofas lovely - but low and sunken in places making it difficult to get out of on occasions Non stick frying pan - tired Beds quite hard and on one underneath protection did not appear to be straightened before making the bed, unable to shut door properly also caused comments from friends Shower leaking onto floor

Lovely setting in living room/diner/kitchen, and very clean. Very handy having two bathrooms. Good privacy from other lodges.

Third bedroom door didn’t close due to the bed, having teenage kids this wasn’t ideal for them so had to angle the bed but made the room awkward to enter.

The lodge was ideal. Out of the way yet close enough to Bideford and Bude. The lodge was warm, comfortable and cosy and well equipped. Perfect for a family break and lovely local dog walks. Welcombe mouth beach was breathtaking. if you like walking, well worth a visit for its coastal paths and stunning scenery. 25 mins drive. will re book for next year.

A very pleasant Lodge in a quiet valley location. It had everything we needed and more besides. Although we brought everything we needed for our dogs, things were also provided for them, which made us feel the hosts were really dog friendly. It was a very homely place to stay, we only used one of the twin bedrooms as that was fine for us and we didn't want to make more work than necessary, there was a lovely en suite bathroom to the double room that was a surprise as it was not mentioned in the booking details.
