Peaceful, clean, and all the equipment you need for self catering. Tho out of the way , felt this was perfect.

Very comfortable and peaceful; great for dog walking. Good base to explore the area.

The actual lodge was amazing, exceptionally clean and well equipped with everything you need for a great holiday.

The post code doesn’t work on sat nav and we spent over a hour going around in circles. Eventually asking locals for directions ( all of whom agreed it’s a nightmare to find) we arrived at venue, however vague location description again led to further frustration. The site map is fantastic in property however totally useless if you cannot find property in the first place. So I suggest a site map with instructions, and a basic o/s map of area clearly showing a route to site. I wouldn’t like to find it in the winter, in the dark with no one to ask directions from

Beautiful lodge in the middle of knowhere but central for exploring Devon and Cornwall

It was tucked away as the name describes. Lovely and quiet, but not too far from local shops and plenty of places to visit within a short drive. But also a good base to travel in to Cornwall too. No sound from other cabins, very peaceful and great to sit out on the deck in the evening. With a clear sky was great to star gaze. But to also hear the night time wildlife. All the facilities in the cabin were amazing and spotlessly clean. Great to have an ensuit and a bath tub. With 5 in the group 2 bathrooms was a must! But to have three good sized bedrooms was an added bonus. We had 5 adults in our family group and it felt like we had plenty of space to sit and relax in the evening and for breakfast, and without getting in each others way while doing our own things. Good dining space, lovely kitchen and everything you needed was there. Added touch like the prosecco on arrival was lovely and went down well with dinner. But also loved the soap bar. Would highly recommend this lodge, and if we were to stay in the area again would definitely stay there again. Phone signal wasn't always great but that was nice to get away from constant messages. Added bonus was the WiFi connection which came in handy when planning the next days trips and when booking things online. Also great selection of games and DVDs provided if you wanted a quiet night in. There were extra blankets provided but we didn't need them, the cabin was very warm and cosy. We used the heating a couple of times but once it had been on for an hour you could turn it off and the rooms warmed up nicely and held the heat. So very efficient. And warmer than a traditional house!

I have to honestly say that I liked everything. Apart from I wish I could of stayed longer.
