Salcombe Holiday Cottage

Well decorated, nicely laid out

It was difficult to find, the name of the adjacent house was impossible to read unless you were ready close to it and there was no sign for the actual cottage and the drive/parking area was full of containers, a skip and other stuff(see photos). There was no heating, despite the radiators being switched onto 5 they never got warm. There was no apparent way I could switch the heating on myself.

The heating was already on, the place was spotless and all the amenities we needed were made available

I stayed here whilst working at Dowsons Farm and the location was absolutely perfect. The cottage was nice and out the way which meant it was incredibly peaceful and had everything I needed.

Very warm in property very nice space. Very clean lovely shower

The only things which would enhance the stay would be a long mirror somewhere maybe in the bedroom and ano mirror on the wall in the bathroom and some hanging space for dresses and maybe less drawers.

Rachel was fantastic! I need a quiet place to recharge. Perfect, thanks again for being lovely.

Dogs welcome & washing machine useful

Closer to road than realised, hard to find, went out and when came back they had closed drive gate. Not good parking as on busy road and no space to turn around. Not clean hairs in basin, dirty bedding, carpet not vacuumed, hairs through out, we did bring our dog and he got messy rolling around. Broken front door handle, no smoke detector or carbon monoxide detector, no blind/curtains on door opposite bathroom or in bathroom. No instructions so had to work it out ourselves, wanted to empty bin but didn't know where! No baking trays or oven gloves. Radiator under tv caused tv to give warning and turn off as overheated! Chest of drawers broken. Noisy boiler. Slippery to entrance, we both slipped, just needs washing. Mattress needs replacing as uncomfortable sinking. Just needs some tlc and a guide.
