"Warm, cosy and convenient"

The Lodge is a cosy, little well appointed property .. everything you need is in the kitchen, including laundry, dishwasher, cookware, utensils etc. The smart TV has all the UK channels.. is on the smaller side but appropriate to size of room. We were there on Election night and was great to watch (we are from NZ !) .. Bed is necessarily on the smaller side, fitting in between the two wardrobes but very comfortable. The second bedroom was great to use for our bags, giving us the space to move around!! Fresh air with open windows everywhere if wanted .. (we love fresh air) .. Access is easy with a lock box .. and message via Booking.com .. the lock box being by the 5 steps down to the front door. Bathroom is a lovely size with shower over the bath (didn't test the bath but it looked inviting !). During the day, beautifully quiet, with just a touch of distant road noise from the bedroom at peak hours only. If one is up and out of bed .. you won't hear anything ! :) Andrew is wonderful, communicative .. and long sufferingly .. we mistakenly unplugged the fridge and he instantly attended to it .. with us being a tad sheepish !!

Nothing really, other than maybe - whilst it should have been apparent to us, there was no outside seating that was private. Again, however, if, like us, you are using this property as a base to go and do things during the day .. it won't be needed.

"A delightful cottage, the perfect retreat!"

What a delightful cottage! My sister and l had 3 nights here and loved our stay. The cottage is cosy and well equipped, with everything we needed to be able to relax and feel at home. The beds were very comfortable and it was very quiet which we loved. Being able to park right outside was a bonus and the location was really good, close to the local supermarket and village centre. We'd certainly recommend it to anyone!
