The place smelt so bad whole place damp dirty and disgusting

the place was filthy walls had what could only be described as bodily fluid stains on them, towels with very suspicious stains on, cooling fans missing guards, carpets stained and filthy not even hovered before we got there, the smell inside of the property was what could only be described as a drug factory, the smell outside the property coming from the garage with all the rubbish piled up in it was horrendous, and to top it all the lovely family of rats running around the garden.

The heater wasn't working all night and the hot water wasn't on and we had to call for everything

There was no electricity when we arrived and the host did not answer the phone when we called, but gave us instructions on how to reset the electricity outside the property by text message; however, the instructions were not clear and we were in a cold dark house for nearly 3 hours until we figured how to reset the electricity. We could not use the living room as it smelt of strong cigarette smoke even though it said it is a smoke free property. The garden was overgrown, dirty and seriously unkept. The garage door was broken and filled with rubbish overlooking the garden. The wardrobe was broken, the capets were dirty, the furniture was dated and the overall inside of the house requires improvement. The panel underneath the shower was broken. There was not even a tea bag in the kitchen.

The location was easy to find. No breakfast provided but had our own so no issues with this. It was good that there was toaster, kettle fridge and microwave.

The house was very cold all night, the wifi did not work, in shower there was no hot water at all. The water was mildly lukewarm which after a cold night is not something you want to experience. Could not switch off the landing lights which meant the bedrooms were very bright from this as had clear glass at the top of doors which let light in, in one of the bedroom which overlooks the main road the lights were not working, broken blinds and this again led to light from outside into the bedroom so did not sleep well. You simply cannot sleep in a cold and lit up bedroom. Also when we got to the living room there was slight smell of cigarettes smoke despite it being a smoke free house. There was air fresheners on the mantle piece however due to allergies we could not use this. The house from outside look immaculate however inside was bit disappointing. Some damages to doorframs noted. It was such a shame because from the outside the house looks really nice and area was also quiet. Thankfully it was only for one night.

Honestly nothing.

Well to begin with I was greeted with cobwebs in the entrance hall, then in the living room actual spiders and more cobwebs. I went upstairs to put the heating on but nothing, on contact the host he gave me instructions to reset the boiler which again did nothing. We had no heating at all for 2 days and it was freezing. Turned out the host hadn’t topped up the meter. While messaging the host about the heating I also mentioned the fact the property looked NOTHING like the photos. There was a huge open gap under neath the shower which was disgusting, the living room looked more like a grave yard for old furniture. There wasn’t a single tv remote that had a battery in it. In one of the bedrooms there was just one single plug socket which was for the tv. A extension lead would have easily solved that issue, and we couldn’t lock the front door from outside so 1 of us had to stay at the house all the time which completely ruined our trip. The host completely ignored anything I said unless it was about the heating.
