Fern Cottage Iden, Rye

Fern Cottage is a charming, peaceful house in a quiet village near Rye. Though on a road, there was very little traffic noise, and there was free parking, though with our hosts’ advice, we parked on the nearby side street. The living room was comfortable, with an open fire, and the kitchen well stocked with appliances, utensils, crockery and cutlery, with an adjoining room containing a washing machine (and an extra loo!) Upstairs were two nicely decorated bedrooms with comfortable beds and a big bathroom with both bath and separate shower. The weather was awful so we didn’t use the little courtyard garden, which would be a great bonus during warmer seasons. All in all, a perfect place for a peaceful break.

Immaculate cottage, everything you need for a relaxing stay. Bed is the most comfortable we have ever slept on😴. The log fire 🔥 made for a cosy evening.

Size and space. Wood burner a nice touch. Quiet location but short drive to places of interest. Clean & well equipped.

The cottage was lovely and super clean and cosy. There were clear instructions for the house and good suggestions in the book about surrounding areas. Would stay again.

We did not have a car which made getting around a bit more difficult. We walked into town which is along a road but easy enough walk. However, it would be dangerous at night so we got taxis around at night. I would recommend booking cabs in advance though! Or getting the bus. Otherwise it was wonderful xxxxx

Lovely cottage, close to beautiful walks and few minutes drive from Rye and beautiful beaches.

A comfy and well equipped cottage. Lovely to have a garden area to sit in.
