Nicely furnished with comfy beds. Short stroll to the cathedral and castle.

A fan in the loft bedroom would be a good addition because it was very hot!

Loved the location and the shower room.

Steep stairs especially for the little ones staying with us and no stair gates, no lock on main bathroom door, locks on other bathrooms low down so not great for kids locking themselves in, tiny bath and sloped ceilings in en-suite meant we had to share the main bathroom and lots of banged heads, doors don’t shut great, no instructions for sky light blinds, cleanliness especially when toy went down the cushion on the sofa and you remove the cushions to retrieve makes you question everything else along with massive cobwebs, stained coffee mugs, en-suite window green algae, no wall mirror or mirror for getting ready to go out. Downstairs toilet straight off kitchen.

Location, facilities, friendliness of host

Some small maintenance items needed but nothing essential or anything that ruined the stay

Excellent location for shops bars and restaurants in uphill area of Lincoln House had everything we needed for a short stay

Bare floors not so homely

Not a lot really!!!

Terrible smell of drains all night. Sofa had leftover rice on it. Rug was filthy. When I removed pillow cases, one of the pillows was ripped at one end and badly stained. Flooring was awful, full of holes and untreated. Damp patches in bathroom. I have photos which have been shared with the owners. Wasn’t going to write a review but I’m fed up with getting reminder emails!!!

Lack of facilities

The accommodation is in a great location for the historic area of Lincoln and a short walk to the centre of town. The size of the property, and the facilities, were great for a family of 5. The owner was easily available for any queries and provided excellent communication before our arrival.

Lovely, very sympathetically renovated house with a great kitchen diner- super for cooking together and catching up with a couple of friends. The position 2 minutes' walk from the historical centre of Lincoln is perfect.

The top bedroom is charming but in order to bathe/shower in the roll top bath you have to squash into the half-length tub and crouch down under the sloping roof . Very pretty but you need to be fairly supple! I banged my head hard the first time so I soon learned.
