Quay Cottage

A very cosy cottage. Good location. Beautifully decorated. The Main bedroom bed was beautiful and comfortable.

Kitchen was a little bit small, we had decided to cook all our meal rather than eat out.

Perfect for myself and my daughter to have some time together. Ideal location, clean, warm and fully kitted out.

A dishwasher would have been welcome but that’s me just being lazy!

We loved the location, had family staying at the Ship Hotel and we had breakfast there together. The cottage also is equipped with all things you need to make a breakfast.

Easy to access keys on arrival, very clean,all equipment and furniture was well looked after. The location was superb with restaurants and walks within walking distance. It is .close to roads to Wales and other parts of Cheshire/Merseyside. Gary, the owner ,went above and beyond when I realised I had lost something valuable in the cottage.

The courtyard was smaller than I expected and not ideal for dogs, but it wasn't a problem as there were very close places to take them which felt safe even late at night. Although manageable, the stairs, as in all old terraced cottages are very narrow and steep which we were expecting but also the sides of the bath/ shower are very high which my husband, who is not as mobile as he used to be , found very difficult to use. I hope this doesn't come over as negative criticism, just as pointers to older, less mobile customers. Despite what I've said we will definitely look to ho back .

Overall, a good choice for us, offering convenient access to all the places we wanted to visit and our chosen activities while staying in Parkgate for 2 nights. We had one issue while staying there and the owner responded quickly to resolve it satisfactorily.

The mattresses on the beds are rather basic.

It was clean with modern facilities and very comfortable beds. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2night break.
