Church Cottage by Coast & Country Stays

Location was fabulous. Cottage was very comfortable. However, the description on booking.com is very misleading, states its beachfront (which I wanted). The property is a minimum 10 minute walk away.

Did not like not having curtains in the main bedroom as found it difficult to sleep, had I known I would have brought a sleep mask. The cooking smell from the cafe next door and the hotel at the rear was slightly off putting when sitting outside (this had been mentioned in previous reviews)

We loved the location and the village - property was beautifully maintained and clean. Garden was lovely and private and the log fire was gorgeous! Such a lovely warm home!

Bathroom fan didn’t work. Wifi wasn’t connecting to the internet so had to use the ‘Country Stays’ wifi.

Clean and comfortable. Great location. Local restaurants and pubs a short walk. Very quiet area. It was pet friendly.

Radiator in kitchen on full due to the heating system made it a bit warm at times. Can get smells from the kitchen of the cafe and restaurant next door in the back yard.

Breakfast: N/A Quiet safe location. Spotlessly clean. Spacious. Well equipped. Comfortable large beds and v good quality bedding. Large kitchen with large cooking range and quality utensils. Very efficient central heating.

Garden: Noise and smell of large kitchen extractor from Beadnell Towers Hotel which backs onto this property. From 7am to 10pm every day. Really spoils the experience of being in the garden which is otherwise very nice.

Pros -Great location , good size cottage . Well equipped with toaster , kettle ( coffee , tea , biscuits and milk sachets ), microwave , dishwasher ( being your own tablets ) . Comfortable sofas , pleasant decor . Comfortable bed. Cons -We couldn’t allow our dogs in the enclosed backyard as evidence of rats , several holes going under shrubs and fences . There was no outdoor tap & hose so couldn’t clean where previous dogs had been . Central heating is on a timer, radiators were adjustable but not the kitchen one which was dangerously hot especially if you have young children or elderly this radiator was on 24/7 !

Excellent location, close to the beach and a great pub. Cottage was spacious and clean.
