Riverside Lodge Pied a Terre

Done to a very high standard and was very clean. Gardens were beautiful

Excellent host. Lots of information. Location. Gardens lovely. Very clean and modern inside.

The wooden open tread stairs small and steep. Not good for medium/large suitcases. Not good for tall or larger bodies but this was stated on the property description so all good.

We were two adults and one child (4) The property was perfect, we chose the location to see friends but this property is ideal as a base to visit the South especially Hampshire and Dorset. The property is small but perfect, very clean, lovely kitchen and bathroom and comfy beds. The garden, pond and weir are beautiful. Shane met us on arrival and settled us in, the prosecco, bread and milk etc was a lovely touch. I highly recommend this property, we'll definitely look to stay again next time we're down visiting friends.

The lodge is well maintained, with modern furniture and appliances. The thing we liked the most was the exceptional level of service here. There was a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge alongside, fresh bread and butter, jam, marmalade etc, milk, tea, coffee…anything you could ask for for a welcoming and comfortable stay.

The stairs take some thought and the pitched roof a challenge.

Very well provided with equipment etc. Very clean and smart. Pleasant and helpful host. Excellent garden and patio (would have made more use of them if the weather had allowed). Stairs and low ceiling were not as difficult to manage as expected.

The heights of the chairs/stools in relation to the table and surface were not well matched, so not ideal for eating in.

Great lodge near a lovely town. Lodge has everything you need, it was clean and comfortable. The outdoor seating area and garden are a bonus. Shane provided clear instructions and information. The bottle of bubbles, along with other supplies was most welcome.

It was a self catering property. Location was ideal as the town centre was a minutes walk away. The gardens were absolutely beautiful and could be enjoyed as there was outside seating provided. The only reservation about the property was the stair case, which would not have been suitable for less mobile visitors, as it was very steep and the treads were quite slippy.

Due to roadworks we struggled to find our way but rang Shane he gave us directions to meet him and we followed him back to the property. We were left a fresh loaf of bread milk jam tea coffee and a bottle of fizz. Nothing was too much trouble we had a wonderful time and would highly recommend and we will be returning in the future.

Lovely accommodation, clean and modern

A little small regarding bedroom ceiling height. We bumped our heads many times.we also noted there were kitchen aids either missing or not working. We spoke with the owner and he agreed we should purchase new batteries for the weighing scales, the cost he would reimburse. As an offer of kindness we also purchased a measuring jug, at our expense. There was not one available in the property!! Dissapointed to later learn the owner failed to reimburse us, because of this we took the measuring jug home with us. In our opinion Fordingbridge is a little run down / tatty! Our opinion was not helped because throughout our stay it continually rained. Because of this the property garden were flooded, this we could not enjoy. If renting this property we would suggest thus should be done in late spring / summer.
