Riverside Lodge Pied a Terre

Clean, comfy, modern felt completely at home. The added surprise of fresh bread, milk, etc and a lovely bottle of fizz were left for us. Although Shane couldn't meet us at the property we had no issues at all and the communication was excellent. we also had some some ducks come along the river in the mornings.

The property is lovely with beautiful gardens and in a great location. It’s decorated to a high specification. Although it’s in quiet surroundings it’s just a short walk to shops, pubs and restaurants. Would definitely recommend and stay again. The basic provisions provided - artisan bread, butter, milk, tea etc - were a really nice touch and most welcome. The owners were very welcoming and helpful.

The stairs would be challenging for older or less able people or children.

Everything was amazing!! Shane was a fantastic host and was helpful right from the outset when I had questions that he answered very promptly. He couldn’t do enough to be as helpful as possible. The property itself is adorable! Very well equipped and super clean. The Prosecco in the fridge was a lovely touch as well as the delicious fresh bread from the local bakery. Other essentials such as milk juice butter jam and water was also very thoughtful. Not having to pay for cleaning was an added bonus! The staircase was quirky as mentioned but no problem at all and there was a stair gate if needed. My girls are 9 and 7 and had no problems with the stairs at all. The beds were really comfy and all bedding and lined was fluffy and fresh! I needed to contact Shane a couple of times during the stay and he replied immediately and was again very helpful indeed. The gardens and ground are also amazing.

Stairs are a bit awkward and narrow

Beautifully designed and immaculately clean, including bedding and bed linen. Beautiful gardens. Really quiet, mostly only the sound of the wind in the trees and the river weir in the garden, very relaxing and restorative. Shane welcomed me on arrival and showed me round. Prosecco in the fridge, chocolates, fresh bread and milk. I hope to stay again, I’d rate this higher than 10 out of 10 if I could.

The property was in an excellent position and the facilities were top class.

Fabulous host, beautiful setting, made to feel very welcome with even a bottle of Prosecco left for us in the fridge. Riverside Lodge is a exceptionally clean, modern offering all the essentials you need and is just a stone’s throw to Fordingbridge town and the gorgeous Avon River.

Absolutely nothing to complain about stunning place.
