Albion Cottage - Whitby

Communication with Richard (owner) from start to end was really detailed and timely, making the whole stay really easy and straight forward. We had a fantastic stay at Albion cottage, with our cockapoo. The home itself was so quaint, really well decorated and just stunning in every room. Would not be suitable for anyone unable to manage stairs as there are quite a few of them, and quite steep between floors. Albion cottage had everything we needed for our stay and on arrival we were met with a lovely selection of snacks. Fantastic location for exploring Whitby and the surrounding areas. The living room was cosy, the bed comfy, great water pressure and heat in the shower, and plenty of information and instructions to answer any query. Would highly recommend anyone considering this as an option for Whitby. We were really grateful for the added detail for our cockapoo, with a bed downstairs and blankets in the living room. Being able to have our dog stay was a huge positive for us, and as Whitby was so dog friendly we loved it here.

The only small fault we could mention was the difficulty finding a car parking spot after the first night. We visited on Easter weekend so we were expecting the area to be busier than probably usual, and with this, potential difficulties parking. We were able to find a spot to park each night so it wasn't a huge issue, but did mean we were driving around for some time or parking further away than we would have liked. Richard informed us of the parking restrictions and areas beforehand which was helpful.

Richard and Amanda were there to welcome us and show us how everything worked. Anything else we needed to know was in the information left in the cottage. Welcome tray and milk in the fridge to save us heading straight out. Very thoughtful

Nothing that was anyone's fault! The seagulls were late to bed and early risers buts that nature

The Albion Cottage was spotlessly clean and had everything for our needs, absolutely love it, perfect location.

There is nothing we disliked

No problem with parking as we arrived early. Key lock an advantage, so I didn't have to worry about losing keys or forgetting the number. A nice quiet little street not far from the hub of whitby. Will stay again.

We had a wonderful weekend at Albion Cottage. It's a lovely property in a great location.

Great location, with only a short walk into town. Very characterful cottage, spotlessly clean. Loved the extra touches such as the welcome tray and the extra Halloween decorations.

Only issue was having to send a security deposit over privately to the owners and having to remember to message them on the last full day of the stay with my bank details so the money could be refunded back into my account. Would have felt safer to have this arranged internally via booking.com

Excellent service, location and facilities. The owners have invested not just plenty of money and time, they have allowed the soul of the building to express itself. The Whitby art on the side of the building is excellent. I would recommend to the discerning traveller and I shall be booking again. 5 minutes to the centre of Whitby
