Amazing stay at the cottage, like a home from home, we loved every minute. Just wish we had booked more than one night. Great host, would highly recommend and love to visit again .

We had a wonderful stay at this cottage. Perfectly sized for 3 people, and you could fit a couple more! The cottage was very clean and extremely well appointed. It has a good-sized kitchen, a living room with a log burner, and a good outside space. The host greeted us and was just lovely and welcoming. Lots of little touches that make a stay special and everything you need for a stop over or break away. We had a long weekend, Friday to Monday. We went to Beamish Living Museum, which was 30 minutes away, and Durham Cathedral and Town, also 30 minutes away. Easy to use this cottage as a base as there is so much within reach. We thoroughly enjoyed the cottage in the evening and used the wood burner whilst playing board games. We ate at the Duke of York, the food was good, so would recommend.

Perfect little cottage for a short break away with the family, well equipped kitchen made meal times easy with a young child. Location was perfect for what we needed and Cathy was an excellent host, met us on arrival and recommended local businesses she thought would be beneficial. Would highly recommend
