Excellent stay, clean and excellent value for the money

Only criticism was the fact there are no curtains or blackout blinds so in the morning the sun woke me up around 5am which was a shame as otherwise it would be near perfect

The area did feel a bit edgy when we walked into town but saying that it was only a 15 minute walk

We really wouldn’t recommend staying here. We left before midnight. I find it difficult to believe that any of the positive reviews for this property can be genuine. The host gave clear instructions for getting into the property and helping with parking. He was also very quick to respond when we needed help putting the heating on. Sadly, the property and location were not great and we ended up leaving at around 11pm so nobody in our group could get to sleep. There was a very strong smell of weed in both bedrooms, which we think must have been coming through a vent from a neighbouring property. There was also a really bad smell in the living room (which, from looking at other reviews, has been a problem since at least 2023). We ended up booking the Doubletree Hilton for somewhere to stay at the last minute, which cost £150 for four of us (only £12 more than this property had cost us).

Quite cheap and handy for town

Slightly cold before the heating kicked in, but it was March.

Excellent location, the local shop around the corner sold everything! We only stayed one night however the house was set up for a much longer stay and we wished we could have. I thought the parking was going to be a problem but as it turned out the response form the owner and the detail they provided helped no end.

There wasnt much to dislike, one of us prefers a softer matress, I think that was the only talking point!

Nice feel to it, didn't feel like we were just in someone else's house for the weekend, felt homely in that way. The facilities were nice, and what was expected. Access was really easy with the code, meant the four of us could come and go as we wanted instead of worrying about keys etc. Beds were comfy and heating was more than adequate. Location was great for the venue we were going to and essentially a £10ish Uber to go anywhere else.

Not a proper minus but the pillows were feather I think which does trigger my allergies slightly, but they were comfy so I just dealt with it. The road feels a little rough but realistically it's nothing to do with the accommodation, just something to bear in mind. A lock on the bathroom door would be my main recommendation 😂.
