"Beautiful location, lots of lovely walks in every direction, the property has everything you need. Warms up quickly too."

8.0

Location is beautiful

Those creaky stairs!! As soon as one member of our group was up making a Cup of tea the rest of us was awake because of those stairs. Also if you run the bath it leaks through the ceiling into the lounge. Owner has been informed.

"Fantastic location and great communication and property"

10.0

Great communication before I arrived. Everything I needed in the property. Fantastic WiFi which allowed me to work. All in all very straightforward.

Some more information on local shops / cafe's / restaurants in a list would have been really useful. I found the ferry and pub opposite on an evening walk but little local titbits like that would have been great.

"Cottage was clean, but tired. Needs"

7.0

Two separate bathrooms was useful, as was the provision of tea, coffee, shampoo etc. Accommodation adjacent to marked footpaths

Broken cutlery drawer, light on first flight of stairs broken, doorbell broken, external door handle insecure. Decoration generally tired, internally and externally. Stairs from living area to bedrooms very(!) creaky and ‘give’ when stepped on. Although the drive to the cottage did not worry me in the slightest, others may find it challenging on narrow, single track roads. This could be made clearer in description, as well as the fact that the cottage is not served by any public transport nor has any grocery shops within 7 or 8 miles.

"Lovely views, great location but cottage needs TLC"

7.0

Amazing location for walks along the wye, pubs and the ferry. Lovely big shared garden and the cottage had comfy clean beds, shampoo and shower gel (incase you forget!) And all the amenities you need-well stocked kitchen, good TV and towels. The cottage was clean, easy to get to and plenty of space for us.

Although we loved our stay the cottage was in serious need of updating. The carpet was tired and worn, the sofas worn and covered with blankets to update them (blankets weren't even that nice either!). The kitchen has everything you need however had a very old oven and hob, shabby kitchen cupboards and a drawer front missing! The colander looked about 10years old! Paint work needed redoing (patches where things were taken off the wall but not painted over??) and bathroom tiles looked old. We were travelling with a 1 year old and the highchair and cot we had been left were old and not especially clean looking, also plugs could have been covered knowing we had a child with us? The cottage was good but could be better- we felt it had been a little neglected.
