Fletland Mill and Holiday Hamlet - 18th century watermill, in stunning location near Stamford

We had 3 properties: The Roost with the bedroom balcony, the Holt next door to the Roost with stunning riverside views from all the rooms and The Warren, again with beautiful riverside views. A hunting owl delighted everyone in the evenings. Loads of space to wander the countryside. The children loved the animals and tennis courts. Each house was well equipped with everything we needed just about. It was super spotless and the hosts were very accommodating. The location was as good as it gets to meet up centrally for 5 far flung families. Next door is a great little garden centre with play area and something for all ages. Easy reach of Stamford. The hosts gave us helpful tips on where to park and a wealth of information to support our stay before arrival. It was very helpful to have foil supplied and some lunch boxes available for picnics. Plenty of glasses and plates for large groups. Loads of bathrooms and they were stylishly decorated. Loved the airflow with veluxes in the upstairs bathrooms. Would recommend.

Was surprised there was no hair dryer in the properties. A full length mirror would have been useful in the Roost. Washing machine but no drier, so wouldn't have used it as no way of drying the laundry in time for departure. The Warren residents could not find any laundry tablets? Could the mirror be relocated nearer the plug for use when styling hair in the main bedroom of the Roost? Our relatives in the Warren found the middle upstairs bedroom stiflingly hot throughout their stay and temperatures were under 21 degrees outside while we were there...not sure what the solution might be but it made for uncomfortable sleeping.

Excellent accomodation for the group. Stunning location and very friendly owner. Communication great and a welcome pack of some bread and eggs plus more was very much appreciated.

Location was stunning. Accommodation was of a bery high standard.

Picturesque and secluded location, with plenty of indoor and outdoor space to hang out depending on the weather. Added bonus with free use of the tennis court.

the setting was idylic

The riverside location is beautiful and the hosts have worked hard to make the whole hamlet sit happily in the natural environment. Loved having the games room in the Mill & use of the tennis court. Great to have walks from the door, suitable for all ages in our large family group….& the dogs. Plenty of room to come together in the Mill. Great to have a barbeque too.
