Eyam Cottage - Darwin Lake Holiday Village

Lovely, quiet and peaceful. Didn't see host as my friend checked us in but she said they were pleasant. Lovely comfy sofa and beds. Well built cottages, couldn't hear neighbours.

Nothing. Maybe more baking trays etc if you were going to stay and cook for yourself, we didn't miss it for 2 nights! Easy to miss the turning, maybe a sign or 2 as you approach but Google maps gets you there fine.

Quiet site with beautiful lake just outside the door. Enjoyed standing outside early evening watching the bats overhead.

Advertised as dog friendly but dog not allowed upstairs. Ours usually sleeps in our room so ended up with my husband spending the nights downstairs on the sofa

Tv didn’t work but the fixed it and got us a even better one so sometimes these bad things work in your favour

location ,peace and quiet. accessible to many local sightseeing spots and local facilities. pleasant cottages.

The mirror in the bedroom wasn't by plug socket to dry hair with hairdryer. plugs by bedside not accessible . bathroom skirts need a paint / clean. behind bed needs a hoover. sofa had stain on it. had to request fridge to be cleaned no bulb in lamp/ light in lounge shower on timer so couldn't shower at will asked for recommendation foe lunch, directed to Chesterfield when local establishments could have benefited work being carried out in reception electrical, could this not have been done out of season or if urgent a notice outside to customers.

TV had limited channels but we didn't raise it as we were not there to watch TV

Property was beautiful. Clean and tidy. Plenty of stuff to cook with. Bed comfortable . Staff very helpful. Lovely view from window.
