Little Sussex House

Well equipped and very tidy. And most important to me is that the beds are comfortable, and essential items included.

The cottage is beautiful and in the most stunning setting. It has been well decorated and laid out. The towels and bedding are immaculately white. The kitchen has all of the utilities you could need for a short stay. Liz and Andrew were on call and answered any questions, impeccable hosts, thank you.

My only piece of feedback is that the white blinds do not make for a good sleep, especially in the summer, so make sure you take an eye mask!! There is also nothing to do with the cottage, but parking is a challenge, and you can't leave the car near the house. Finally, if you go mid week it's worth noting that lots of shops don't open Thursday because of the market and there is no local supermarket apart from one really expensive one! So if you are planning to cook or do packed lunches, etc, then stock up before you get towards Rye. But this is for info and nothing negative towards the property!!

The location was fantastic, you couldn't wish for better in a beautiful town. The house had everything we needed and was clean and tidy. Communication was excellent.

I think that perhaps some of the furniture needs replacing, a very popular air bnb I would pick means high use of furniture.

My partner and I have stayed at Little Sussex House many, many times. It is located in the very heart of beautiful Rye, on a quiet and historic, traffic-free street, yet directly opposite Lamb House, a lovely modest National Trust property, with a delightful garden, where a few famous writers, including Henry James, have lived. Little Sussex House has two bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom, with an extra toilet on the ground floor. There is also a small courtyard. The very pleasant owners live moments away and are always very friendly and helpful. We definitely highly recommend Little Sussex House for your stay in the wonderful town of Rye.

Lovely and peaceful house in beautiful location, in this gorgeous city, right opposite Lamb House. Facilities generally fine and it was nice to have a second downstairs loo as well.

It would have been even nicer to have had a courtyard/garden space. Dryer wasn't very effective but I hung clothes in the side passage instead.

Would highly recommend staying. Comfy beds, great location, very responsive and lovely host. We had four of us staying and it was the perfect place!

We are a family of four. With grown children. The accommodation is clean and complete. They prepared board games and books. Liz, the owner of the house is friendly and nice. The place only a few minutes walk from public parking. Many good restaurants there as well. We had lunch at Layla Mezze Grill, it was good and nice staff there. Besides walking around Rye, we can also drive towards Seaford to enjoy the spectacular view of the seven sister cliff. Only 1 hour drive.

The location is perfect, in a quiet street very close to all amenities. Light, airy, cosy and comfortable. The owners live next door and are very helpful and responsive.

Would have liked curtains or blinds with blackout fabric. Woke up very early due to light streaming in.
