Nice property, good location for our stay. Peaceful.

It could have been a bit cleaner and would benefit from a bit of maintenance.

Location was amazing and met the owner who was lovely, tea rooms right next door and breakfast there was exceptional

Scenery

No manual - No Wifi - No Heating - Water tap dripping - Cat Flap open (door missing) - bath unusable - table was rocking - Toilet flushing handle loose - kitchen bin broken - most windows were sealed closed - TV signal very poor - dining seat covers very stained - garden chairs broken - fie alarm had no battery - washing machine knob missing - cooker knob missing - tumble dryer unsafe (foot missing so unstable on top of washing machine - kitchen floor tiles loose - mouse dropping by bedside cabinet - no basics / tea towel.

The building and location were amazing. Lots of space both indoors and out. Magnificent views and facilities, ideal for a family Fridge/Bath/showers/toilets all very clean 🙂 The lawn was freshly mown and it was apparent there were a few new items e.g. carpet and sofa Scott was very helpful with advice when the boiler stopped working.

The garden had a few areas unsafe for little ones, broken bench, overgrown brambles and nettles. A few areas uncleaned e.g. under the chopping boards, toaster, cobwebs and spiders behind the bed and around the ceiling in the lower bedroom Not quite enough living room seating (1 sofa 1 chair). Could do with something multi- use like a couple of beanbags for kiddies to sit on

Property was lovely. However, owners looked like they had fallen unlove with it or perhaps they had too much on - life can get in the way. could do with more utensils, instructions on heating etc, perhaps milk, butter, tea & coffee (some there but out of date) and an option to buy logs. Beds though - at least for us were the most comfortable I ve stayed in. Would stay again. x

A lovely spacious property that suited our needs perfectly. The bedrooms were of a good size, the kitchen was well equipped for cooking and the living room was beautiful with great views of Penshaw monument. The log fire was an added bonus. Having an upstairs and downstairs bathroom was also useful as we were 2 couples staying with a baby. There’s room for parking for 2 cars (a little tight but perfectly manageable) and the garden was also lovely.
