Pretty Cottage in Central Lewes

Fantastic little house with a great location in Lewes. Communications from Joanne were perfect. Everything was covered from arrival, parking etc.

We had a perfect Christmas here, the cottage is beautiful, clean and even nicer than the photos! Joanne was a very attentive and kind host, giving us helpful instructions and tips for parking. Very comfy (huge!) bed and we absolutely loved the dining area. We had everything we could possibly need and appreciated the homely touches (water and tissues by the bed, cotton buds, shower gel, blankets, cooking oil etc). We’d highly recommend this cottage and Joanne was the perfect host, we couldn’t have asked for a better stay ♥️

This is a great place to stay in Lewes. Located just off the high street , there is plenty of living space and the owners have clearly put a lot of thought into their guests comfort and convenience. Nice touches like a pack of biscuits and a pint of milk make all the difference.

We were disturbed on November the fifth by large crowds of sinister masked individuals waving torches and throwing fireworks at us, whilst agitating to set various public figures on fire ( only joking!) it was the perfect place to watch the parade - the photos were taken from just outside Parking like any where in Lewes was a challenge , but I honestly don't think the owners could have done more to help - county hall was only 5 minutes walk but don't assume you'd find a space in the middle of the day - it does fill up Stairs would be a challenge if mobility is limited

The cottage was exactly as beautiful and comfortable as shown on the photos. Everything was very clean, the kitchen and the bathroom are well equipped. We really felt at home. We had no specific issues, however Joanne was very reactive each time we had a question. The location is excellent, close to the main street of Lewes and yet very quiet. We strongly recommend it!!

Beautifully decorated and well equipped cottage. Fabulous location in Lewes, with all amenities in walking distance. Very helpful and informative correspondence with the owner.

The over bath shower wet the floor and toilet.

Perfect location for visiting Lewes and the surrounding countryside. The cottage is set up perfectly and is very comfortable. The conservatory and small sunny yard are especially delightful. Joanne was extremely responsive which added positively to our overall experience and helped make the stay relatively stress free. She was able to point us to cheap parking nearby and ensured we were able to find the property easily, with speedy, excellent descriptions and follow-ups.

The only (small) fly in the ointment was the lack of cable broadband which made tv access impossible for us. There is apparently a full Sky package but this is something we have not used before and we were unable to access any films as everything we selected told us we didn't have the full package to access. It was frustrating but we were well armed with books and games to play instead (there don't seem to be any games in the cottage so bring your own!). Overall a thoroughly delightful and highly recommended holiday home.

We really appreciated this cottage- it felt like home, with all the conveniences, like a washer/dryer, and kitchen appliances. The cottage was very spacious, larger than we expected, and nicely furnished and decorated. It was also conveniently located at the end of High Street, so everything in town was within walking distance. Joanne was very friendly and helpful, quickly responding to my questions about transportation and parking. She even ordered travel adaptors for us to use.
