Pretty Cottage in Central Lewes

Excellent location. Expertly modernised property. Very well equipped. Great facilities. Brilliant host.

Parking is the only challenge but just requires prior planning.

The cottage is located just a stones throw from the Lewes station, in a quiet and picturesque part of the town. The house itself is superbly cosy, with all the amenities one could wish for and decorated in a very tasteful manner to boot. The bed was really comfy, the shower and bath both worked well with good water pressure and everything was clean and pristine. The check-in instructions were clear, and the communication with the host was always friendly and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised to find olive oil, salt & pepper, etc. in the kitchen as these are often not provided, and it's real pain to purchase them for a short stay. Would most definitely stay again when we find ourselves in Lewes again!!!

A really suggestion: The hob could perhaps use some markings to make it clear which hot plate is which, as it wasn't immediately clear, but it might just be me, though.

You can't park outside but there is a cheap carpark not far away.

Our second stay at the cottage. We love both the cottage and its location in a quiet cul-de-sac in a delightful area of Lewes. The cottage is very roomy with a lovely conservatory at the rear plus a small outside courtyard with a table and chairs. The kitchen is excellent with every facility needed. The bathroom has both a bath and shower with the added bonus of another toilet downstairs. Everything is in excellent condition and the interior design is very pleasing. Within a few moments walk there are two delightful pubs, a superb traditional long-standing family butcher and a lovely small cafe called Hannah’s attached to a fitness centre, where we always took our first early morning coffee. The area surrounding the cottage is beautiful with lovely quiet town walks in every direction and much to explore. You can walk into the very centre of Lewes in about 10 to 15 minutes or jump on a bus for a 3 minute ride. We especially love the location of this cottage and the district where it is located.
