hot water ran out on our second day for good few hours. no wifi or signal

Stunning location, amazing house and loved all of our stay. Lots of room and space and excellent walks around. Staff really helpful. Beds were the most comfortable things ever!!!!

Only recommended action would be to supply just a few tea bags and coffee

The size of the property was more than adequate for two families. The kitchen facilities were home from home and with a large pantry at the back, storage was not a problem. The views from both double bedrooms was delightful to wake up to each morning, and the beds were very comfortable. Two lovely little pubs about a 15 minute walk away (Ratty Arms and The Inn at Ravensglass) which both served homemade food. The lack of WiFi didn't bother us as we took our own entertainment, which was actually quite refreshing, having the full attention of 2 teenagers! (You can only get a mobile signal from the front of the property) If you're wanting a nice, quiet break away in a rural location, Newtown House in Ravenshlass is the place for you! Would most definitely return! *****

The drive into Ravenglass and up the dirt track towards the house are not well-lit and quite narrow and winding. Would recommend arriving during the daytime as opposed to late in the evening.

Lovely cottage. very spacious and clean. comfortable beds. we stayed at Knott view cottage (this is the 6 bed house that sleeps 12) it is essentially one half of a big house that has been split into 2, so you enter through the back door and the interchanging doors are locked. this wasn’t a problem for us, was just a little hard to locate the property as it is in a rural location.

the lane up to the property has huge pot holes so not great unless you have a 4x4 car. the house is very cold, the heating worked fine but just hard to heat up as the property is so big, so maybe pack some extra blankets. also no phone signal or wifi at all so bare in mind if that bothers you.

The heating went off and once it was fixed (quickly by staff) it then was excessively warm and some radiators couldn’t be turned down.

Lovely spacious cottage which was clean with nice decor. Isolated location however only about 15 minutes walk to Ravenglass and two local pubs and the hotel. However, no lighting on the single track road to walk to the village.

Signage to the cottage was poor. The sign directing to two cottages had fallen and unable to be seen. Also, it wasn't clear the entrance to the cottage was down the side of another cottage. A map or photos showing directions would be useful. Also letting the front cottage know that there is a cottage down the side as the passage was blocked by parked cars when we arrived as they hadn't realised access was required.

Great location, and a great view. The hotel was next door so we were able to talk to the staff whenever we needed and could use the bar. Nice spacious house, and plenty of room for all of us.

The house was a great location lovely and warm and really catered for large families

The house was in need of some refurbishment And the kitchen need things like a whisk and wooden spoons The duvet were of really bad quality
