Muncaster Cottages

Contained everything you needed. Beds were lovely and comfy, lots of hot water, very quiet and peaceful with beautiful views. Really good value for money. Had 3 bathrooms which was nice.

We didnt get the white building we got the side building. Some parts are a bit tired in the building itself, but beds, sofas etc all good. Smoke alarm in dining room beeped constantly, toaster kept blowing the electric fusebox and the dishwasher didnt work. We didnt complain as we were only there for 2 nights so was only a minor inconvenience. Would stay there again no problem.

The location to the beach

We was really disappointed with this as the house was very damp and not clean we have taken pictures as this also set my husbands asthma off !!!! The pictures was nothing like the house gardens was also very untidy and the pictures we have taken shows all the damp even around plug sockets

Good size, plenty of rooms and good location and nice surroundings and views.

A bit tired and worn. Know it’s an old property but could do with some work to it to bring it back to life. Up on the top floor - flushing the chain on the toilet sounds like a ship in the fog with its horn.

Beautiful house in a lovely setting.

Needs a larger fridge / freezer. Current one not large enough for supplies for 8 people. Main living area and kitchen need a bit of TLC.

Location. Large enough for big groups.

Could occasionally hear people staying in the adjoining part of the house. Considering the property caters for a large number there was only a small frying pan and a 2 slice toaster so breakfast had to be cooked in parts.

+ Sizes of all the rooms was good. + Beds and sofas were very comfortable. + The view from the front of the house was incredible and there were a couple picnic tables outside as well. + The staff at the hotel were really nice and helpful when we collected/dropped off the keys

- We could hear everything in the house next door as if it was happening inside ours. - The house was meant to be for 12 people but we struggled to find enough pots and pans to make food for 7. - There was no mobile signal or wifi, and no landline. We had a medical emergency during our stay and found it difficult to contact 999. The lack of wifi was advertised (although you could actually get a weak connection in the living room) but there should at least be a landline in case of emergency. - The house definitely seemed to have been cleaned before we got there but because it was so old it felt very dingy (particularly the carpets)

Quick key collection once someone attended us and the staff were polite. The desk was easy to contact. The house was spacious and the place was clean. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils etc to cook! The view was lovely and the green space in front was great. Great value for money and appreciated the 3 bathrooms with showers.

Took a little while to be seen despite ringing the bell at the desk for key collection. Would have been nice to have been provided with some tea/coffee/sugar and maybe some card games and DVDs.
