Bedford House Retreat

Convenient location. Very clean and nicely decorated with additional touches. Host very accommodating due to our travel disruption. Excellent communication.

Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. The location is fantastic—right in the heart of the Old Town, very quiet, and only a 15-minute walk to the beach. Having a Tesco just 10 meters away and a 24-hour car park within 100 meters made everything so convenient.

​One suggestion for improvement: The curtains in the master bedroom really need to be replaced. There is a streetlight right outside that shines through, making the room far too bright for a good night's sleep. Additionally, the curtain rod is quite loose; the expansion bolts at the three fixing points are pulling out of the wall and it looks like it might fall down soon.

It was clean. The owner went out of her way to prepare a treasure hunt for the children which I appreciated a lot

The house is under a very noisy apartment. The neighbours banged and shouted at each other all though the night. We didn't sleep The kitchen smelled as though a smoker had lived there for years. The single beds were very uncomfortable. When I asked for a refund as we didn't sleep at night and left a night earlier the owner refused.

Very quirky, lovely cottage with nice enclosed space for dogs at the rear. Within walking distance of the town centre. This is a delightful cottage and we loved it..

Just a warning if you have mobility issues. The house is gorgeous, but the steps to the bedrooms are very steep..

We loved everything about it. The beds are so comfortable & the kitchen has everything you need to cook whilst away from home which you don't always get in other places.

Quirky decor is lovely. Helpful owners. Secure yard for dog is great. Useful welcome pack. Close to restaurants and shops.

Parking hard work. Location a bit dodgy. Cold but, owners came and sorted it.

Was close to the beach, places to eat and town centre. The info folder in the house was really helpful.

Parking costs a lot, there is no free parking around. Street noise from people lingering around outside. The walls are thin so you can hear the people in the room above and beside you, especially when in the bedroom.

Lovely quirky house, comfy beds, great location.

A few things lacking in the kitchen... Baking trays, cleaning cloths for washing up, etc.
