Bedford House Retreat

The whole place was very unique and quirky, clean and warm I would recommend

The stairs were tricky, just mindful to climb with caution

Love the decor of the house, location perfect. Very clean and tidy. Our daughter loved the vinyl records and the little treasure hunt.

We liked the quirkiness of the house. It was central enough to get everywhere we wanted to go and cheaper than a hotel. The garden is closed off so noone can look over at you. For a small house, it feels massive. One of us is 6'3 and didn't have to duck under most doors. We will definitely be back in future as it was perfect for us. We went up to see a friend who showed us around town and are very glad he convinced us here was the best place to stay.

You could hear everything from outside in the front room but it wasn't often enough to bother us. Would be better with more cooking utensils. We noticed the carpet under the main bedroom door was loose but it's a quick fix with a screwdriver.

Close to town . Comfy bed. Very clean . Lovely big bath.

A little cluttered

We had a great time at Bedford Retreat! There was no need to stop anywhere else — everything we needed was right here. My family really enjoyed the stay because the place was clean, comfortable, and very convenient to all the important locations in Scarborough. The warm welcome we received made us feel at home from the start. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality — we truly appreciated it and would happily stay again!

Perfect location for walks on the beach, restaurants etc. The decor of the house is wonderful, quirky and cosy. Getting to play an 80s vinyl on a record player was a lovely nostalgic moment. Hosts were great - good communication and thought of all the little details.

Parking on the street is rather expensive but not the hosts fault

Overpowering smell of damp meant we couldn’t stay
