Bedford House Retreat

Everything. Property was lovely, clean, and in a great location. Hosts contacted to see how the second bedroom wanted to be made up. (Double or singles).

Parking! Wherever I’ve stayed in scarborough air bnb they always have scratch card permits to cover stay. Parking on street was difficult to find and so expensive. Would advice ppl to check in then move car to NCP for rest of stay.

Quirkiness of the house. Home from home. Excellent location.

There was nothing to dislike

A lovely, quirky little house. That contact with the owners was excellent. So many lovely little touches, lots of cries of "omg, look at this" at the period pieces throughout the house.

Absolutely not the fault of the owners but both nights we were there were very noisy. The first night it sounded like the people upstairs were practicing their wrestling throws, constant loud thumps on the floor and the second night my husband had to go out at 2am to ask the people next door to turn down their music.

It was local to all the shops etc but also on a quiet street the deco was very different but also made u smile

The property was clean and the communication from the owners was good. However it does need some time spending on getting things sorted. All the beds need new mattresses we had to put all the duvets down to sleep on top of and even brought an air bed due to being so uncomfortable. Some other minor points, the kettle lid was broken and could only be opened by picking from the side (not safe when hot). The curtain rail in the main bedroom was hanging out of the room. We ended up leaving a day early, shame as this could be a nice place. Parking outside is only for a maximum of 2 hours 9:00 - 18:00 and you can't extend the ticket on Ringo app. £4 for 2 hours. I would suggest parking in the carpark on Deene street opposite for the £3.60 for 12 hours.

Quirky little house.

Upstairs flat was directly under the master bedroom and we can hear all the footsteps, jumping, dancing, stomping.

House was excellent, close to town and beach
