lovely location in the middle of the oldest part of Lincoln. Beautiful little cottage with great facilities

very steep stairs, fine if you are mobile, but not for older or less mobile people

Very characterful cottage with lovely terrace overlooking the castle. Very quiet and clean, helpful and friendly host. I will definitely book again.

A handrail on the staircase between first and second floors, please. A chair in the kitchen please, so a hot drink can be enjoyed without having to climb stairs. TV may need attention-initially, I couldn't access BBC i player, then TV stopped working.

Location. Quite quiet.

Having to take food upstairs, not safe. Maybe bathroom downstairs better being converted to mini dining room.

The location was right in the Cathedral quarter with views of both the castle from the terrace and the cathedral from the living room window.

Parking, but I found a spot and left the car there all weekend, but it's competitive for residents' parking.

The location and quirkiness of the cottage. Very comfortable and, given the weather, the terrace was a great asset.

The stairs are typical of the type and age of the cottage. Not a problem, but one has to be hail and hearty to take meals/food from the kitichen up to the sitting/dining room.

After staying 4 nights at the Castle View Cottage, staying in a hotel room will never be the same! This cottage is located in the perfect location for getting around Castle Hill by foot. When I arrived, retrieved the key via secure code and opened the door, immediately I felt home!! The first level has a hallway which leads to the fully-equipped kitchen and bathroom (with clawfoot tub). The premises was spotless! I especially enjoyed having use of the washing machine! Never have I ever returned home from a trip with clean clothes! Im spoiled! Upon arrival, I decided to place a Deliveroo order from Sainsbury with water, pop, snacks, dips, a few microwaveable items, to have on hand after long days walking around this beautiful city. The refrigerator really came in handy! Next, the 2nd level … up a series of curved steps (maybe 10-12?), is the living area —- comfy couch, large TV, books, games, dining room table and chairs, AND french doors leading out to a little garden area with a perfect view of the turret of the castle! Oh my gosh, this is an incredible perk of staying here. Morning Coffee will never be the same after having a cup out in the peaceful, decorative garden, sitting at one of the wrought iron cafe table sets. Heavenly! I decided to bring up carryon suitcase and backpack to this level, as it is the centre floor of the cottage. Worked out well! Then …. Another set of circular steps is the bedroom! The epitome of an English bedroom with the floral wallpaper! I slept sooooo well here! The bed is comfy, as is the bedding. A bathroom with a shower is located on this floor was well. I felt completely safe here! No issues with ordering an Uber from here either! The photos posted of the castle view by others …. 100% accurate! Stunning castle views from the front and back windows of the cottage! Boy did it look near all lit up in the evening! I met the owner of the Cottage, when she stopped by to drop something off!

Honestly, there is Nothing I can I say that I didnt like! I would only say — be aware this is a 16th century cottage. Authentically English (which I loved). This is a 3 level living space, with curved stairs in between levels. Because of the age, some of the steps are uneven heights. Just be aware, careful, take it slow and plot your moves around the cottage accordingly. It worked for me, I had no issues and it added more charm and character to this historic structure!
